Hiring a Home Inspector Should Take More than Three Minutes

Hiring a home inspector should take more than three minutes…

Hiring a home inspector is no different than hiring any other professional you need.  Yet many people make the decision by calling two or three and simply taking the lowest price quoted.  You assume all home inspectors are the same.  They are not.  The low cost or barely qualified home inspector wants you to believe this because if you don’t, you won’t hire them!  You are not comparing prices on an appliance – you are seeking professional advice on a major purchase.  Take a little extra time and make sure the inspector you hire actually knows something about home construction.  Make sure your home inspector is also qualified as a General Contractor or Residential Building Contractor.  If your inspector has never built a home, do you really feel they are qualified to inspect a home?
